I’m Craig Marks, founder of Craig Marks Diamonds.
In 2008 I believed there was a better way to buy engagement rings: to offer South Africans exceptional quality custom jewellery, honest advice and outstanding value.
At the time, purchasing jewellery online was still relatively uncommon. While many jewellers relied solely on traditional retail stores, I saw an opportunity to help clients across South Africa design and purchase beautiful custom-made jewellery without the high markups often associated with conventional jewellery retail.
What began as a small business has grown into one of South Africa’s most trusted names in custom-made engagement rings, wedding bands and fine jewellery.

Over the years, I have worked with thousands of clients, helping them celebrate some of life’s most important moments.
Whether it is a proposal, wedding, anniversary, birthday or special milestone, I understand that jewellery often carries deep personal meaning.
For that reason, I believe every client deserves personal attention, honest guidance and exceptional craftsmanship.
My goal has never been to sell the most expensive diamond. Instead, it has always been to help clients make informed decisions and receive the best possible value for their budget.

Unlike large jewellery chains, where clients may deal with multiple sales consultants throughout the process, many of our clients work directly with me and my team from start to finish.
I enjoy helping clients explore design ideas, compare diamond options and create jewellery that reflects their individual style and story.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation and is carefully developed through our design and manufacturing process before being brought to life.
